Infant Nursery (0-2 years old):
The Infant Nursery is staffed by volunteers who have been trained in MBC’s policies and procedures. The Nursery is divided into three rooms – a napping room with cribs, a private room for nursing mothers, and, of course, the play room. There is also a wireless paging system in case a mother is needed during a service.
Toddler Ministry (2-3 years old):
The Toddler Ministry is designed to meet the high-energy needs of our little ones. Opportunities are given to color Bible pictures and learn about God. There is also plenty of play-time for the children to explore new things and interact with other children their own age.
During the Sunday morning worship service, children from age four through the fourth grade participate in Children’s Church. The kids learn Bible songs, enjoy activities, and hear Bible lessons that teach them how to establish good Christian character.
King’s Kids is an exciting children’s ministry that is designed to help kids memorize scripture and apply it to their own lives. Each child is given age-appropriate goal cards and incentives to aid in scripture memory, and every week there are Bible and missionary stories that go along with the topic of scripture being memorized. King’s Kids takes place at 6:45pm on Wednesday Nights from September through April.
The Youth Ministry is designed to equip Christian young people to face worldly opposition during their challenging teen years. Though fun activities, games, and competitions are all part of the mix, preaching and practical service are the primary focuses.
College & Career Ministry:
The Single’s Ministry accommodates our college-aged church members. Whether it’s going on an outing, fellowshipping, or being involved in different areas of service for the church, the Single’s group never lacks for energy and excitement!
The Ladies Ministry is an opportunity for ladies of all ages to enjoy great food and fellowship. The meetings also provide a pleasant setting for the ladies to discuss topics that are important to them.
Conservative Christian music is a vital part of the worship services at MBC. The singing of the Adult Choir focuses attention on God and prepares hearts for the preaching of God’s Word.
No one is too young to sing God’s praises, and we have several volunteers that work with the young children to teach them Christian songs with good Bible doctrine.
The Bible Club Ministry takes Bible lessons and activities to children in their own neighborhoods. This is primarily an evangelistic outreach program.
MBC jail volunteers minister to the male and female inmates of the Cleveland County Detention Center. We also offer spiritual assistance to men in the maximum security facility.
Soul-Winning Visitation Ministry:
In addition to our other outreach programs, MBC makes a serious effort to take the Gospel to people in their homes. We carefully canvas our community street by street, and house by house searching for people who are willing to accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
MBC has a weekly ministry to each of the three assisted living facilities in Shelby, NC. Whether it’s singing songs, preaching, playing special music, or just visiting with elderly friends, these dear “senior saints” seem to be more of a blessing to us then we could ever be to them!
